Embroidery, learning the stitches all over again!
Its been a few years since I've just sad down and embroidered. So long, that I had to relearn the stitches! But just liked riding a bike, a little practice and I'm back at it. I feel art is a great coping mechanism for my anxiety. The tediousness of it is very calming. I should really say it must have been a lot longer ago than I thought its been. Must be 25 years ago when I was about 13. I've always cross stitched, but I like the freeness of embroidery, lol, if that makes sense. I've only used the pattern's of Jenny Hart! She has so many books and lots of cool designs. I haven't purchased one in awhile, so if you are ever searching for patterns, turn to Jenny Hart! I've also been told this type of work is similar to crewl, I will look into it!
Here are 3 books I own by Jenny Hart!
I can not yet show the first one I made, as I made it for a friend who does not know anything about it yet! I can't wait till I can show you it!!! For now I can show you my first finished one! I made this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it!
I currently have 3 more that I am working on, but they are almost complete!
This one just needs a bit of outlining and it will be finished. This one was perfect for showing a lot of different stitches! This will probably hang in our kitchen!
So my boyfriend said, "I think you should make 50 of these and sell them, I know people would buy these!", so I said sure, lol. I hope to be done by Nov. 30!
So this is number 1/50!
This is #2/50!
I will be doing a whole lot of embroidery during the next 70 days!!!
Wish me luck on this endeavor!!! I will continue to update my quest to complete all 50!
