More Manic Panic...This company rocks!!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Things in my personal life and health haven't been the greatest in the last while. I am back for now, and that is a good thing. My last post of my Manic Panic Eyeshadow Cassette Tape is being followed by another Manic Panic review. I had a just a slight problem with my brush and contacted Manic Panic and they went above and beyond to help me. I was in contact with Alexander Lebedez and he sent me the Sooo 80's Eye Wear Book, which I told him I would review and he also sent me their Mascara! Such amazing customer service, I can't thank Alexander enough!!! Yes, I still have not found my cord for my real camera to download pictures off of it and I still only have my old iPod for these photos. You can always check them out on there site for high quality photos.

Just look at how sweet the cover is!!! I loved the 80's, it was when I first started wearing makeup. It is something I will always love and to me, it never goes out of style!

The inside is as awesome as the cover! 4 eyeshadows, 2 brushes, an eyeliner and three cards with three different looks to do with the whole palette! The pigment in their eyeshadows is amazing!!! The eyeliner is great and the looks to create are so deadly!

The looks are rated like movies, I love it. Here is the PG-13 look. Very nice look.

Here is the Rated R look, more bold and blue. Love this look.

Here is the last look, Rated X. I love, love, love this look, which is why I tried it first!

Here is the Manic Panic mascara I used with my eye wear book. Love the mascara too!!!

My thoughts on Manic Panic...I totally love this company! All around awesome products. I highly recommend Manic Panic products. This is my opinion and I think I'm entitled to that! Cruelty free vegan products that are superbly formulated is where it's at!

Here is my finalized Rated X look! I have to say, I think it looks pretty nice, if I do say so myself! Very, very happy and pleased with Manic Panic products and their awesome customer service! I will be an avid shopper from here on out!

Manic Panic: The Coolest Eyeshadow Case Ever!

I happened to notice a friend's post of what she received in her Beauty Box 5 sub. I spotted what looked like a cassette tape, off course I enquired as I have worked in a record store and I love music. She replied 'It's a Manic Panic Eyeshadow in a cassette tape'. Within seconds I was trying to find where I could get my hands on one. I googled Manic Panic and found the link, which is http://www.manicpaniccollection.com/ There were 2 to choose from Side A or Side B. I purchased Side A. Ok, time for the photos:

Now how cool is the packaging!!! I mean anyone in their right mind needs this right?!?!?! Well I know I sure needed it. With the added plus of it being a Vegan Cosmetic Company that's a definite sell! I have used Manic Panic panic before and I love their products.

Is it not just the cutest thing ever! I'm so in love with it. They had super fast shipping too. It came from New York to my small city in Ontario in a week.

The back of the "Cassette". It shows you can add a strap to it for carrying around! Gotta love the Bunny sign: Cruelty Free and Vegan! :)

The inside of the cassette. Sorry about my 'camera' (iPod). In this photo the right colour looks blue, where it is more true to colour (greenish) in the next photo.

Then at the very bottom it has a secret compartment that pulls out. Inside is their business card and a discount code. The packaging suggests it as a place to store your money! I love little extras like that!

This product is the best of both worlds: 1. It is thee coolest compact hands down and 2. It has great pigmentation! You can buy refills as well in a wide variety of colours. The eyeshadows themselves pop in and out very easily. A overall A+ from me!!!

From Makeup to Crafts!

I have been subscribing to a craft subscription box called Wimseybox. It's a great craft box. Every month you get all the supplies to complete the project of the month. Some months you get to make 2 or 3 small items, or 1 larger project. One month I received all the stuff to make home made Peppermint Lip Balm, it came with 3 tins! One month was a large canvas tote bag and all the supplies to either tye dye it or make a pressed pattern look! Well yesterday I received the September box. So I am doing an unboxing for the first time, since I had been requested by some friends to do so. Here she goes:

Here is what the box looks like. It comes by USPS, but for some reason it is delivered by a van driver and not by my postlady. I seen him pull up and I always hope it's for me and then I see the blue and get all excited, lol.

After peeling off the outer shell you see a nice white reusable box that even comes with a label sticker for the that has a spot to place it on the back!

I always love the presentation, no skimping here. As usual it has the prettiest of ribbon in different colours each month. You also you get a 5x7 print, with instructions on the back or inside. I like to either frame the prints after i'm done or pin them on my cork board!

"Creativity is intelligence having fun" - That is so true for me!

I have pulled back the wrapping to discover lots of coated nylon?

Close up of the awesome little extra pin that shows a knot and it has to do with Macrame! That is what I get to learn this month!!! I'm so excited.

I took the layer of cards away to discover wood discs and beads? I'm still confused, and it doesn't take much, lol.

Once I went through the box, I quickly learned I would be making a macrame hanging. So my style too! It says it takes 1.5 hours to make. We shall see how I do. But first I have to finish off another bracelet I learned how to make last month!

Last is a close up of the finished profect! It looks so neat, yet hard, lol. It says beginner/intermediate, so it probably just looks harder than it is.

So, there is my first ever unboxing of anything before. It was fun. Tomorrow I get my Topbox, so I get to do it all over again. Whimsey is a really fun box for $20 a month including shipping to Canada. Sign up through my link and save $5 off your first month. Here is my referral link: https://whimseybox.com/subscription?r=w78kos0z

I hope this post has been helpful!!!

More Starlooks Reviews...

Starlooks Single Eyeshadows:

Hello lovelies...ok, this may be rare, but i'm actually doing a post 2 days in a row!!! As per the last post I will review a couple items I purchased from Starlooks. First I will post the last mystery items I purchased, tying into my last post on  Starlooks' St. Tropez Palette. I believe that this was the second time they have offered a mystery item for $8 each. I scored somehow and only purchased one item, but I got two!!! I had asked for eyeshadow and they ended up sending 2 eyeshadows! I absolutely love the colours I got:

                                                                    L-Lined With Lilac ~ R-Pink Velvet

Lined With Lilac is such a nice shade of purple/blue and Pink Velvet is such a warm pink (I misplaced my good camera's battery charger during a recent move, I hope I find it soon!). These eyeshadows go on so smoothly, are easy to blend and build up and for only $8 each, is a great deal!

Well, I must go have a nap. I suffer from Fibromyalgia/Chronic Pain and it makes me tired all the time, along with other health issues I have. One day at a time, baby steps. I will try to review another 2 items today!

About 6 months later...time to start now :) Starlooks~Reviews

Well I tried starting this almost 6 months ago and then I didn't. Kinda the story of my life, lol. A day late and a dollar short all the time! I'm gonna jump right in and start reviewing products that I have collected over the past 6 months...

Starlooks/Starbox: www.starlooks.com

I discovered the Starlooks brand, through a friend on a Canadian Beauty Box group. From what I saw and what she posted, I decide to subscribe to their monthly box $19.95 US dollars, $24.95 for Canadians. I believe I have received 5 boxes in total. This month, Sept. 2013, is the first month I won't be receiving a box, do to lack of fundage :( July's box included a beautiful eye shadow palette. I will review this first...

I have fallen in love with both the formula and these colours! The eye shadow is very pigmented and has a slight cream feel to it when applying. It goes on so nice and smooth and is very easy to blend and build up colour. I used the first 3 colours the other day and it looked great and I received many compliments. I have nothing negative at all to say about this. Considering it came in my box that cost $24.95 and the regular price of the palette alone is $41.00!!! I always love a great deal.

Ok, there we have it folks, my very first Blog post! More to come tomorrow...
